MD121 and MD122: New Skilled Visa Processing Priorities

Following our 15 September webcast on the impact of Ministerial Direction 119, the Australian Government introduced Ministerial Directions 121 and 122 on Saturday, 19 September, which replace the skilled visa processing priorities under MD119.

The new Directions establish revised processing priorities for skilled visa applications. For employers sponsoring skilled workers, the changes may affect visa processing time expectations, workforce planning, international recruitment and employee transfers.
