UK Tier 1 Investor Closure: Options for Private Clients moving to the UK

The UK’s Tier 1 (Investor) visa scheme closed to new applications due to security concerns on 17 February 2022.  People who already hold a Tier 1 visa will be able to apply for an extension under this category until the 17 February 2026 and, if they are eligible, they can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain until 17 February 2028. However, anyone looking to use the investor visa route to obtain the right to live and work in the UK will no longer be able to do this as part of a new application.
