Breakfast Briefing: Africa Immigration Trends – A spotlight on Nigeria

REGISTRATION

Please join immigration professionals from Fragomen and South Africa-Nigeria Business Chamber for an update on immigration trends in Africa, taking place on Tuesday, 25 April at Killarney Country Club, Johannesburg.

Immigration and the mobility of talent are among the biggest issues globally today, and no less so in Africa where skills shortages in key fast-growing sectors are affecting the bottom line of companies, and their investment choices.

In crafting immigration policies, governments also have to factor in the employment needs of locals, the economy and other issues. These are sometimes in conflict with business needs, particularly within multinational companies.

This session will discuss how these trends may affect your mobility programme and movement of critical skills along with a panel discussion covering opportunities for individuals and their families in addition to developments in corporate immigration.

The following topics will be covered in this session:

  • Trends and developments including new visas and work permits
  • How to address critical skills shortages
  • How to engage meaningfully with authorities on localisation laws

Registration will open and refreshments will be served from 7.30am. The session will start at 8.30am.
